About the Chapter

The Wolf River Chapter is a H.O.G.®  Chapter that was established in 1991. It is based out of Shawano County, Wisconsin and has grown from less than a dozen members, to over 500 members in 2007.

Wolf River Chapter has meant civic responsibility. Over the years, some important charities have been vigorously and continuously supported, and the Chapter is routinely recognized for our participation. Bell Ringing, parades, animal shelters, highway cleanup and the list goes on.

The Wolf River Chapter has one major charity ride a year in July.  The July ride is for the Red River Riders, a local therapeutic horse back riding organization for the handicapped and disabled.

Like any family, the Chapter has witnessed many weddings (including some where the couple met through the Chapter) and more than a few divorces.

We have celebrated important birthdays, welcomed new babies and mourned the deaths of loved ones, including, regrettably, fellow members and hogs, (Alice).

We have laughed, gambled, skied, (well made believe we were skiing behind a Harley-Davidson ® Pontoon Paddle Wheel boat), swam, danced, camped and played Survivor together. Yes, we sometimes even argue, but throughout it all, the Chapter has grown in the passion of the freedom of the ride, having many great times and true riding companions.

Our Sponsoring Dealer: Doc's Harley-Davidson® of Shawano County has a flavor unlike most dealerships.

Based on knowledgeable, honest, caring ideals from small beginnings, your experience as a Wolf River Chapter Member will be one to remember. To the creative shop parties to the games and scavenger hunts that he comes up with will forever be instilled in your memory.

You will also see this with a visit to the dealership. At Doc's you will see a 58 acre facility features roaming buffalo, and an inside critter tour with alligators, crocodiles, a parrot, tortoises, iguanas, a pot-bellied pig and an auto museum, pop corn machine, and hand dipped ice cream cones.

Starting in 1975, Doc was professionally drag racing a nitro-methane burning Harley-Davidson ®. In 1994 Doc set two world records that held for 3 full years! Doc still races a Top-Fuel Harley-Davidson ®.

Thanks to Doc and Rhonda along with the whole crew at Doc's, we continue to create an endless stream of imaginative adventures for the best people on the planet earth, the Harley-Davidson® rider.
